White sails, teak decks, push-button winches and sleek lines make Sojana a superior vessel with unparalleled quality and elegance.

The main brief given to Farr Yacht Design at the outset was for:

1) The longest and fastest yacht capable of being handled by the owner, friends and with the minimum professional crew
2) A robust, sea kindly hull and rig capable of long-range ocean cruising but also capable of winning its fair share of trophies and
3) A sleek elegant yacht, well appointed but responsive and fun to sail.

At the heart of the yacht, the cockpit provides a comfortable seating area for dining and relaxing during the day and watching the sun set in the evening with a cool glass of champagne. There is also a spacious air conditioned cuddy for comfortable on deck seating but with protection from the weather should it be required.

Sojana's immaculate teak decks are ergonomically planned. Forwards there is an ingenious anchoring system whereby the two QR anchors are hinged on hydraulic arms and pivoted aft for stowage beneath the deck when not in use.

Sojana's cockpit is one of the most impressive areas of the yacht. Handrails are conveniently placed, two steps up to the side decks prevent a need for having to climb over the coamings, the hydraulic winches are well positioned at waist height and the banquettes either side of the helming positions are ideally positioned to provide shelter when passage making.

A large seating area surrounds the mizzen mast, easily accommodating a large number of guests in comfort.

The carefully designed cuddy and deckhouse was developed in order to allow guests to travel out of the elements whilst being able to enjoy a full panoramic view. The deckhouse is on the same level as the cockpit, accessed via an open arch. It is fully air conditioned and fitted with comfortable deck cushions and cashmere blankets to afford the ultimate in comfort.

In February 2007 Sojana's RIG underwent a complete refit, with new PBO standing rigging installed. The ultimate in high strength, low stretch rope, PBO has been fitted to all of Sojana's standing rigging, including the shrouds, forestay and backstays. The improvements took nearly 1 tonne of weight out of her rigging, gaining more than 1 knot of speed when sailing upwind.
